Lusid offers 2^(6*8) tags, more than IPv4. This means, as stated on the website, 280 000 000 000 000 possible tags. With such a number of tags, it might start to become useful to have a central authority to manage the tags as a set of bytes. or maybe to give the tags different meanings. I’m thinkig of a small RESTful service to manage the meanings of the tags in a centralized manner (but maybe with RDF it is possible not to centralize completely…)
TrackOrganizer V1.0 beta
July 1st, 2009 by sirmmoOk, no images yet for the trackbox, but already a beta version for the TrackOrganizer
The problem with these guides is that they are really VERY straightforward. Usually the big problem is with focus.
I used a small and nice 15€ Microsoft Webcam (MS LiceCam VX-700) and the complete cost should be around 25€ (if you use a new organizer and a new plexiglass ). Nice facts about the cam: native VGA resolution (640×480) for video, autofocus, low price.
TrackBox 1.0
June 28th, 2009 by sirmmoFirst version of TrackBox ready. Total cost: 6€ + webcam. As soon as I get the photos they will be uploaded. Soon to come TrackOrganizer.
The difficult part comes from the positioning of the webcam in the box. The webcam is really complex to place, because there is no “standard” format but many focal specifics and many focus types. The solution used brings the area to a very small part of the really usable area, but at least it works. This will be changing with TrackBox 2.0.
Strolling through a DIY store, I came up with the idea for the TrackOrganizer: a sliding basket shelf, similar to the one in the picture but higher. This enables the user to have a fully usable small table that can be turned into both a TrackableObjects organizer, and a TrackTable. And this should be possible with around at most 15€ cost.
News to come!

LusiDice
June 6th, 2009 by sirmmoI just started a Lusid-based Dice system for DnD (this means d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20). At the moment it is still very basic, but work in progress!
